Acceptable use policy

To keep the Service safe and reliable, you agree not to:

1) Security & Technical Abuse

  • Access or use the Service in ways that overload, attack, interfere with, or circumvent security or access limits.
  • Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without written authorization.
  • Use robots, scrapers, or automated means to access the Service beyond documented/public interfaces or rate limits.
  • Introduce malware, ransomware, or other harmful code.

2) Illegal or Harmful Activities

  • Use the Service for activities that violate law, infringe IP, or facilitate fraud.
  • Collect or process personal data in violation of privacy laws or without proper notices/consents.
  • Exploit minors, promote self‑harm, or incite violence.

3) Prohibited Content & Data Types

  • Content that is unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, harassing, hateful, or that infringes others’ rights.
  • Do not upload or index: protected health information (PHI), full payment card PANs/CVV, bank account numbers, government‑issued ID numbers, or biometric templates unless we explicitly agree in writing and appropriate safeguards are in place.

4) Workplace Integrations (Slack/Teams)

  • Only connect workspaces and channels you are authorized to index. Do not attempt to ingest DMs or private channels unless the app is explicitly added and the admin has approved.
  • Do not use the Service to circumvent workspace policies or platform terms (e.g., Slack/MS Teams API rules).

5) AI/Automation Misuse

  • Use AI features responsibly—do not generate spam, deepfakes of private individuals, malware, or high‑risk advice (legal, medical, financial) presented as authoritative.
  • Do not attempt to re‑identify individuals from anonymized data.

6) Integrity & Misrepresentation

  • Do not impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Do not remove, obscure, or alter notices (copyright, terms, attributions).

7) Enforcement

  • We may suspend, throttle, or terminate access for violations and may remove content at our discretion.
  • Report abuse to abuse@teammemory.io.
